JOBS

Bike Mechanic

Have you always wanted to work at the biggest, the best and longest running triathlon and bike shop in Aruba? Are you that enthusiastic bike mechanic who assembles and repairs bikes for our customers to make sure they are back on the road or the trails as soon as possible? Then quickly read this vacancy!

What may your working day look like?

At 8.40 AM you walk into the store, because at 8.45 AM we kick off with our daily team huddle. Then you get to work on the repairs that are scheduled for today.

Soon the first 'walk-ins' arrive. This means that in between the scheduled repairs, you do smaller repairs on the spot, while the client waits. Later in the morning you're tasked with a bike assembly for client that just bought his new bike at our store. Like all other bikes, this one also gets the maximum attention. After the assembly you do a floor check to verify is everything is set to standards and to make sure the bike is ready to be handed over to its new owner. A job well done! Another customer can leave the shop satisfied with their new ride!

After your lunchbreak, the rest of the afternoon has a lot of variety to offer, as always: getting rental bikes ready for use, a bike service and a few more repairs. You end the day with a customer who comes in last-minute with a flat tire. You manage to fix that quickly, after which the customer can happily continue his bike ride.

What do we ask from you?

  • You have experience in the profession as a bikes mechanic and you have experience in repairing different types of bikes, or you are eager to learn the required skills;

  • You treat customers the way you want to be treated yourself;

  • You know that only working together results in success;

  • You understand what customers want and respond to it;

  • You are motivated to broaden your knowledge through online and offline training;

  • You are flexible. Working in the weekends is no problem for you;

  • You just want to be one step better tomorrow than today!

What do we offer you?

  • A salary that is based on your experience level, educational attainment and motivation;

  • A contract for 40 hours a week;

  • Personal development through training and/or courses;

  • A company where you work together with other sports enthusiasts;

  • Very cool bikes and products to work on, and you get a discount on those!

Are you interested in this job? Then we would like to receive your CV and motivation letter in which you indicate why you would like to join our team (and mention the position that you’re interested in)! It’s also possible to pick up an application form in our store. You can send the information to Nathan Eckmeyer, Workshop Supervisor at TRI-BIKE ARUBA through jobs@tribikearuba.com. Please note that incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration.
