JOBS

Workshop Supervisor

In this energetic, versatile job, we will call on your decisiveness, problem-solving ability, bike mechanic and leadership skills. Your enthusiasm in combination with a goal-oriented approach are the starting point for success!

You are the face of our workshop and you’ll do the take-in of work-orders. You lead our workshop department and ensure that processes are carried out in accordance with the procedures in place. You are responsible for the entire workshop process and inventory management. As a supervisor, you’re able to motivate and train a team, working closely with your colleagues. It motivates you to make other people better. You are also on the workshop floor to work on bike repairs. In this position you report to the General Manager and you are responsible for achieving the workshop KPIs.

What may your working day look like?

At 8.30 AM you’ll open the store, because at 8.45 AM you’ll kick off the day with our team huddle, together with the sales supervisor. During this huddle you give a de-briefing to the workshop team about yesterday and a briefing with tasks for the day. One-on-one you’ll check the tasks and work-orders with each employee and you will get them started if needed. Together with the responsible person for the rentals you check out the schedule for deliveries this morning and make sure that he is ready to leave on time.

When everyone has started with their tasks, you’re going to prepare an order at one of our suppliers. You make sure that all necessary products are ordered so we don’t run out of stock. When finished you have a meeting with the general manager to prepare the performance review of one of the workshop employees later this week.

After lunch you are going to check the status of the tasks of the workshop team. One of the employees did not perform his job the way you asked. You give him constructive feedback in the right setting to ensure that the employee learns from it and will do the job as expected next time.

In the afternoon it becomes very busy at the counter of the workshop, and you assist the customers at the front desk and take in all the new work-orders. You set clear expectations for the client about the lead-time and the costs of the work-order. There are also ‘on-the-spot’ repairs which you will take care of yourself directly.

You’ll end the day by checking if the mechanics made the workshop clean and ready for tomorrow. After 6 PM you are ready to go back home with a satisfied feeling!

What do we ask from you?

  • You have experience in leading a team;

  • You share our passion for swimming, cycling and running;

  • You like to make other people better by training them and giving them constructive feedback;
